Crisis to Care: Establish or Expand Community Paramedicine Program​

Kentucky RHT is investing in expanding the role of emergency medical services in rural communities. Non-profit and publicly funded EMS agencies operating in Kentucky are invited to apply for f​unding to establish or expand community paramedicine programs that connect residents to care before and after emergencies.​​​

​From Crisis to Care: EMS Training Equipment Quality and Offer Mobile Training Units

Kentucky RHT invested in building the capacity of Emergency Medical Services education and hands-on skills training across Kentucky. Kentucky-based​ TEI agencies are invited to apply for funding to support the growth of hands-on skills training at their local sites. ​​​​

From Crisis to Care: ​EMS Transformation 

Kentucky RHT is investing in expanding the care options available to EMS agencies in rural communities. EMS agencies interested in developing Treat-No-Transport and Transport to Alternative Destinations protocols, enabling clinicians to resolve appropriate calls on scene or connect patients to the right setting without a trip to the emergency department, are invited to apply for funding and technical assistance.​​​​

​Rapid Response to Recovery: ​CMHC Support 

Kentucky RHT is investing in strengthening the behavioral health crisis system and safety net across the Commonwealth. Community Mental Health Centers are invited to apply for funding to support follow-up care after EmPATH visits and provide behavioral health training and coordination support for EMS agencies.

Rapid Response to Recovery: ​Telebehavioral Health Support 

Kentucky RHT is investing in expanding access to behavioral health services through a statewide telebehavioral health hub. Nonprofit behavioral health organizations are invited to apply for funding to participate as regional partners, supporting psychiatric consultation, care coordination, and connection to primary care and crisis services.

Rooted in Health: Definitive Mobile Dental Services​

​​RHT is soliciting applications from non-profit organizations to provide definitive mobile dental care in rural areas across the Commonwealth. Mobile dental units will collaborate with the state and rural health partners (including Community Health Workers, Public Health Dental Hygiene teams, and universities) to increase access to definitive dental care in areas of high need where access to traditional dental providers may be limited.

Kentucky RHT is investing in expanding preventive dental care across rural communities. Local health departments are invited to apply for funding to place public health dental hygiene t​eams where they’re needed most.

Rooted in Health: Establish or Expand Accredited Dental Hygiene Programs

Kentucky RHT is investing in growing the rural dental workforce by supporting institutions that train the next generation of dental hygienists. Kentucky-based educational institutions with the capacity to educate and supervise dental hygiene students are invited to apply for funding to expand training capacity and strengthen partnerships with rural health sites across Kentucky.​​

Rural Community Hubs for Chronic Care Innovation

Kentucky RHT is investing in building community-led health hubs across rural Kentucky. Organizations interested in serving as a Rural Community Hub Lead in the Big Sandy, Lake Cumberland, or Purchase Area Development Districts are invited to apply for funding and technical assistance to coordinate local health improvement efforts.
